So I'm looking for information via the Internet about diet sodas and how they effect weight gain, when I stumbled upon this website. Talk about......well, I don't really know how to describe it.

Furthermore, this webpage seems to be more relevant than the former. And for the record, Bill O'Reilly is repellent.

    Link One:

I'm reminded of the scene in Pulp Fiction where Maria de Medeiros says that she wishes -she- had a pot-belly. Her boyfriend Bruce Willis is like, 'Why?' So she says that pot bellies are sexy. Then Bruce Willis -- who plays a boxer, keep in mind -- says, "If you had a pot belly, I would punch you in it."

    Link Two:

Bill O'Reilly -is- repellent and it's hard to take anything that the woman says very seriously... but, who knows, she might be right? Truth be told, it's probably less severe than she makes it out to be. The artifical sweetners are probably no more neurologically dangerous then the caffine. Although I have read that some scientists believe that you trick your body into expecting calories when you drink something that sweet... and your body reacts when those calories come up missing by making you eat more food, so the net weight-loss effect of diet sodas is supposedly zero. But, oh well, because I like diet soda.

Yes, I've heard the same thing about Diet Soda. I think i read a survey late last year that people who consume diet drinks do not lose any more weight than regular soda drinkers and infact could gain weight because they believe they can have more calories because they are drinking a diet soda.
As far as the top link, well that's just odd. I guess there really is a niche market for everything.
