Watching the Golden Globes only made me feel regretful about all the movies I haven't seen. That's what I hate about those awards shows. The thing is, I enjoy movies. I really do. But when it comes time to consider spending my time seeing one on a Friday or Saturday night, I feel like I would just be wasting my evening sitting in a dark theater all night. I like to think of my weekends as the opportune time to socialize and hang out and drink; not sit on my butt staring at a screen. And yes, I realize there's always the options of matinees, but there's something about going to see a movie during the day that makes me wary of it. The funny thing is, seeing a movie during the day would be perfect, because I'd still have my night to look forward to. It's a love-hate relationship sometimes. But I do fully intend on seeing 'Letters from Iwo Jima' when that comes out in theaters. Day or night.

You should go to this website:

I just signed up for it today, and told Jenn about it because my boss told me. Basically for free Kerasotes (the theater at Glendale) sends you a card. You have to wait one or two weeks depending (usually 2 weeks) but then you can see any new movie for 5$. I know that's only a few dollars off the regular price, but if you want to start seeing movies regularly then it'll be a good amount of savings. Plus, I feel like I'm always more motivated when I can get something on "sale". :P
