Why do idealists completely disregard reality?  I mean, I know that it's somewhat of a characteristic of idealism and all, but seriously, why do you do this to us realists?  It's just plain mean and disrespectful--in certain cases, of course.

The funny thing is, I came to a realization tonight that I've been idealizing a particular situation in my life for quite awhile now, and it's very depressing to realize that what you've been holding onto may just not even be there.  And if it's not even there, why is it so hard to let it go?

"It feels like love's suicide with all the lessons I unlearn.
Countless times I've said goodbye, but you're the bridge that I can't burn.
This obsession keeps me hanging on, makes me wonder why it's better when you're gone."
