Well folks, I survived the Mini Marathon! And I met my goal of running it in under 3 hours!!! Thanks for all you well-wishers out there, it really meant a lot to me when I was coming in at the last mile and wanted to kill myself. So......who's running it with me next year?? (And by "running" I actually mean jogging and walking)

And for your entertainment, here are some highlights from the Mini Marathon 2K7:

-I didn't die
-I didn't kill Bob
-I got to run on the track at the Speedway (unfortunately, I was too focused on getting OFF the track that I totally missed kissing the bricks)
-I didn't die
-the bar that passed out beer at about the 10- or 11-mile marker
-I got to say to Bob at one point "I need more cowbell!".....the supporters along the route were ringing cowbells to show their support and encouragement
-I saw a firefighter running in full gear (gas mask and everything....too bad he was probably sucking oxygen the whole way and had a clear advantage)
-I didn't die
