I had this odd dream last night in which I was blessed to have bore a child. As I've always predicted, she was the cutest baby in all the world. In scene II, she was just as cute, if not more so, as a toddler. She kind of looked like a cross between myself as a small child and my sister, which I guess is a little off, seeing as we're all indistinguishable, and by "all," I mean Asians. ;) Kidding. But back to the issue at hand, this dream just furthered my overwhelming desire to not have ugly kids. It's vain, it's insensitive, I know, but I do not want to have ugly children!! I suppose I will just have to find surrogate Asian sperm to unify with my Asian eggs to better ensure non-ugly children. I realize that not every bi-racial child turns out unattractive, but the idea of having "pure bred" children seems to decrease the odds of ugliness. Don't ask me to explain, it's just a feeling.

"I see your picture, I smell your skin on the empty pillow next to mine.
You have only been gone 10 days, but already I'm wasting away.
I know I'll see you again, whether far or soon.
But I need you to know that I care and I miss you."

Finally, after a 3 or 4 week grace period in which Kate and I got more and more frustrated with the animal shelter, we got to bring a little girl home today! Her name is Bella, and she's just about the sweetest girl ever! She was so well-behaved when Autumn and I gave her a bath tonight! So congratulations to me and Kate, proud parents that we are. And we've even established the parental roles each of us will be playing; Kate is the mean mommy, and I am the nice mommy. Some examples to illustrate this point: Kate abstains Bella from eating more than 3 times a day, whereas I am the one feeding her on the sly. Kate yells at Bella for pooping on the floor, whereas I laugh and make Kate clean it up (while this example has not actually happened yet, it very well might happen in the future). So that's that. Kate and I are cat mommies now! Love it.
