After spending the weekend in Chicago celebrating St. Patty's day, I have a few things to say....

1) I managed to survive an entire day of drinking without puking or passing out. That is mostly in part thanks to my own willpower to pace myself accordingly, though Kate, Bob, and Miller played an integral part in forcing me to get up when I wanted to take a nap. Though I felt hateful towards you all at the time, your dedication to the cause helped save me. Thanks.

2) Kate always knows the right things to say to me in bad situations. That's why I love her so.

3) J-Mike is awesome and I can't believe I waited so long to visit him. I don't know how, but he's managed to become even more pervy and vulgar than he was in college. Love it.

4) Sometimes it shocks me that Nick is still alive and breathing, RE: his tendency to wander off drunk and alone without telling anyone he's leaving.

5) I got to see Daglick for the first time in awhile. It was so fun to hang out with him and watch him do jigs to the Irish music playing. Also, his girlfriend is so fun and awesome :)

6) I have a sneaking suspicion that the keg was full of Miller Lite, but I'm going to continue to pretend that I never heard Shipley say that.

7) I rode the L train for the first time. It was even scarier in person. I know that effective public transportation like the L is very useful and great for getting around, but I generally just dislike public transportation. I suppose if that was my only choice for getting around, I'd get used to it and not feel so grossed out and claustrophobic by it, but until that time comes, I prefer to drive my ass around. I don't want to get jacked in an underground tunnel. I'm a snob, what can I say?

8) Despite trying to keep the hectic schedule of drinking beer all day, I managed to find a snippet of time to go into my mecca--the huge Gap store on Michigan Ave. Unfortunately, I was too buzzed to concentrate on shopping. Ah, Gap.

Yay for St. Patty's day!!!
